I am examining the phylogenetic congruence of conserved orthologous sequences (COS markers) in wild tomatoes and further outgroups of Solanaceae. This work is being carried out in collaboration with Feinan Wu of Dr. Stephen Tanksley's lab at Cornell University. The sequences are chosen by distribution throughout the genome, different functional classes, and mixture in intronic and exonic regions.
